The Week In Review

Matt took some of his work friends to the hockey game last Saturday. The kids and I didn't want to sit at home, so we used our buddy tickets and I took the kids to the game too! We were sitting across the ice from Matt, but we were in the perfect section to high-five the players as they came on and off the ice!

Noah made it on the big screen:
There were Dippin' Dots, of course:

My favorite hockey fans:

Monday afternoon (5ish) I almost tripped over this in the living room:
I had a sick little girl on my hands. She spent the week battling a stomach virus, and didn't get to go to school all week. She was not happy about that.

Monday night, the boys got to go to a special event with the Texas Stars. They got autographs from the entire team. I forgot to send the camera with them, dang it. Here's Noah in his signed jersey:
Tousi (#40) looked at Logan without his front tooth and said, "Hey you look just like me!"

Thursday, I made lettuce wraps, and to my surprise, both boys ate them!

I've been party planning, although I'm in denial that he's going to be 8!

The last games of the basketball season were this afternoon.
The Jazz won their first game, and then lost game number 2 in a heartbreaker. It was a fun season, and Matt did a great job coaching. The boys learned a lot, and they all improved a bunch since the beginning of January.

*I also finished my Project 365 Blog Book of 2011 and got it ordered.
*I finished my first digital scrapbook and got it ordered! (nevermind that it is from our trip to Durango in 2008!)
*Tonight is Family Night - Mighty Fine and the Texas Stars!

Less Than Two Weeks

Is the time it took for the HOA to send us a letter letting us know we were out of compliance. It seems a portable basketball hoop is an unsightly article on our lot. To be in compliance, when not in use, it must be wheeled behind the fence and not be visible from the street. Didn't realize a basketball hoop was going to devalue my property any more than the 3 foot weeds in the yard across the street.
Fuming.

Jazz in my Jammies

A little pajama party fun for my friends at Jazzercise.
(Logan was mortified to have me take him to school in my Mickey Mouse pajamas and pig tails!)

Mattie's Valentine Party in the Bear Class

 Playing a heart matching game.

A pink heart match, of course!

She was so proud of her purple heart bag.
 Valentine treat time!
 Sprinkles make this girl happy.
As a little Valentine's Day treat, we stocked up on bubbles and added some sidewalk paint to our outside fun. Here is Mattie painting her world pink:

Crazy Texas Weather

When we left church this afternoon it was sleeting. By the time we got to Target, it was snowing big, giant, fat, feathery flakes. Hard to tell from the picture, but you can see where some of them went splat on the hood of the car:
At home, the ice had accumulated in the flower bed.
 And on the back deck:

And only in Texas would my roses be blooming, and then be dusted with ice:

And by Tuesday, the high is supposed to be 75!

Early Valentine's Date Night

Dinner with my handsome Valentine at Chez Zee.
Dessert was a very yummy double chocolate gooey cake!
Then we went to see WICKED!

It was AMAZING!!!
I think I got chills and cried at least 3 times!
Then we listened to the music all the way home.
Thank you Grandpa for coming to babysit for us!

We're Goin' To The Zoo!

Lunch at Ninfa's in Waco before heading to the Cameron Park Zoo.

I think the otter slide was the favorite part of the day. They loved sliding while the otters were swimming by the slide!

Where should we go next?
To Noah's favorite - the SNAKES!

The giraffes were feeling a little bit frisky this day! At least they were behaving in the picture. And thank goodness, my kids didn't even notice! On to the next animal....

A perfect day for a trip to the zoo! The only things missing were Aunt Julie, Claire, and Lauren.
