Who's Coming To Dinner?

After 8 years my dining table has a permanent home. And after 13 years, my china can finally see the light of day! I'm ready to use it all!

Hammer and Nails

I've put them to use just a little bit the past couple of days.

Aren't Daddies Great? Mine's The Best!

On Wednesday, my Daddy had movers bring us my childhood furniture (which was my mom's furniture in high school, and then my parents' furniture when they were first married) to put in Miss M's room. It goes perfectly and we LOVE it!

She already sits in the chair at night to brush her hair in front of the mirror.

He also had them deliver my dining room table and chairs, and my mom's hutch.
This is my project for tomorrow and the weekend:
I love filling my house with these memories and each day it feels a little more and more like home.

Thank you Mom and Dad. I think you two are the B-E-S-T, BEST!!!!

Did You Know?

That Minnie Mouse was a Jedi Cowgirl?

House Work

The glorious, rainy weekend was perfect for getting some more things done around the house. Matt organized and filed all of our DVDs and games into portfolios. We hung a few pictures, and unpacked some more. I've placed them around the house trying to get a feel for where I want to put them. I realized just how much I missed the family pictures I had hanging above the TV in the other house. They are leaning against the wall now as I try to figure out just how they should hang around this ginormous TV on the wall!
The other thing I'm really excited about is that Matt made a trip to IKEA yesterday and bought a present for my craft room!
I spent the afternoon today (after watching the Texans WIN) emptying boxes, making stacks, rearranging craft stuff, and stuffing the shelves and closet. It may not all be exactly where I want it, and I may find that I need a few more boxes and baskets, but it definitely has me itching to scrap!

And in other house news: My dining room table, chairs, my mom's hutch, and Mattie's white furniture is being delivered on Wednesday! Thank you, thank you, thank you Daddy! I can't wait!

Finished For Now!

I had so much fun creating this room for my girl!
I love that she helped me every step of the way!

There are still a few more things to hang on the wall, but the room arrangement will probably change when the white furniture comes to town.

For now we will enjoy this happiness, and start brainstorming decor for a couple of little men.

A Bloomin' Room

Mattie the Builder gets her room ready to paint.

Blue skies, smiling at me!

My adorable helper:

 Bright green grass!

 Add the happy flowers!

Mattie got to spend two nights sleeping in the bottom bunk in Logan's room. We still have some more to do to complete the room, but it's complete enough for her to move back in. Mattie wants to paint a sun in the corner, and I want to add some clouds. We still have her name, butterflies, and curtains to hang up. Also, Grandma and Papa are bringing my childhood furniture (white with pink trim) soon, which will add the finishing touch!

Finally! The First Day of Pre-School

You know it's going to be a great day when you wake up to this:

Hip Hip Hooray! It's the first day of school today!

This girl was so ready to get to school.
She sang "I am going to school today!" in the car all the way there!

"Bye Mom!"
