Noah's First Sleepover

Last weekend we went to Grandma and Papa's house in Houston. They took all of the boys (Matt, Noah, Logan, Uncle Jimmy, and Cousin Eric) to Monster Jam. Afterwards, Noah got to spend the night at Cousin Eric's house. Can you tell he was SO excited?! He even ate pancakes the next morning. He won't eat them at our house. But I found out Uncle Jimmy's secret: chocolate chips!
Monster Jam pictures to come when I get them out of the camera.

Grandma Rocks!

Grandma joined the band tonight.
She played the bass part of Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman."
We always knew that our Grandma ROCKS!!!
Nevermind that the first time we played the song, Logan was playing the drums. He just stood there and stared at the TV with a frown on his face. What IS that song!?!?

My BIG Girl!

Mattie had her 2 month well check today.
Her stats:
weight: 12 lbs. 8 oz (90%)
height: 23 3/4" (90-95%)
head: 39 (50-75%)
Developmentally she is right on track: responding to sounds, following with her eyes, cooing, and smiling. Dr A was very shocked to find out that she has already rolled tummy to back (and she did it at 4 wks) and when she put Mattie on her tummy, she held her head up like a 4 month old. I may have an early crawler, yikes! I don't want her to grow up this fast! She got 3 shots and an oral vaccine today. She's doing pretty well in response to all of that. We'll see what happens tonight. We've had 3 nights in a row of not going to sleep until at least 2am. Growth spurt?!

2 Months Old

Where has the time gone? Our little princess turned 2 months old today. She has gotten so big! We will find out tomorrow just how big at her 2 month well check. She is starting to find her voice and trying out different sounds. She has much more awake time. She started smiling on Christmas day. I'm still trying to capture the perfect one in a picture. Most of the time she is sleeping through the night. Although, the past 3 nights we are going backwards. Not good. She loves her bath until it's time to wash hair (and if you don't comb the hair after bath, she has a pretty curly afro). I'll be back with stats after the Dr. Appt. Until then, enjoy the smiley girl!

Christmas Fun!

We had a week filled with 3 Christmases. It started at my Grandma's house the Saturday before Christmas. Above is the entire family. Noah and Logan had a blast playing football outside with my cousins, Daddy, Uncle Jimmy, and cousin Eric. Hooray for warm weather.
Here are the cousins: Logan, Noah, Mattie, Eric and Sarah.
Making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. Daddy was already at church playing in 5 Christmas Eve services. We were headed to the 6:00pm service.

We made it.
Matt played his trumpet. He even had a beautiful solo of The First Noel. You can check it out at www.hcbc.com. Find the link to the Christmas Eve service.
All of the kids come up on stage to sing Away in a Manger with Rick Trevino. You can barely see Noah's face peeking through to the left of the guitar. Logan was behind him.
We even had "snow!"
Our party of five!
Christmas morning was fun. Noah was so excited to see the Bat Cave under the tree. Santa did good. The boys play with it all the time!
Here are Mattie's gifts. She's excited, can you tell?
Next, we headed off to Brenham for a weekend at Grammy and Grandpa's and one more Christmas. Grammy found these towels and tights for the girls, and of course we had to have a photo shoot.

Having some eggnog.

Here are the Great-Grandmas with the kiddos.
We had a fun week, and it was so neat to see the kids so excited about their gifts. There is a whole lot more that I should say, but seeing the screaming baby in the monitor and the time on the clock (12:28am) I can't think.

Getting Closer.....

I've got the pictures out of the camera on to the computer! Unfortunately now it is time to feed the baby!

Going To Blog Today......

.....I promise!
