Better Late Than Never....

Matt finally got the herb garden he has always wanted. After our cedar tree died a slow painful death, Grandpa came and sawed the rest of it down. Then, the "experts" gave us some advice on what to do with it. Grandpa came back and built us a garden corner.
He worked really, really hard, and WE LOVE IT! The weather turned pretty today and we hit Home Depot and the nursery.
Basil, parsley, thyme, cilantro, a tomato plant, and a red bell pepper plant.

A wisteria to wrap around the cedar trunks, and roses already in bloom. Hey, I have to feel some success before it all dies on me! :)

We also cleaned up the front flower beds.

And finally planted something to cover the electrical boxes. Some day, these plants will be the same size as the ones Janelle planted years ago! (maybe)

There's something to be said about getting out and working in the yard/garden - I'm going to be sore tomorrow!

Happy Birthday To Me

Mom and Dad surprised me with a new camera for my birthday. I'm still learning how to use it. I think I may need some lessons from the "experts" - Jen and Chey I will be calling! Do you take payment in the form of lunch? These are a few of my favorite "first pics."

Move Over Ocho Cinco!

There's a new Bengal in town!
Noah is playing his first season of flag football. He's on a team with his friend David. These pictures are from his second game. I had the camera at the first game, but it was 44 degrees and windy outside, and I was busy keeping the baby warm! They won their first two games, and they are totally adorable and hysterical to watch!
Here Noah is the center.
(At his first practice, the coach told him to be the center, and Noah said, "What center?"

He takes the snap and hands off to Brennan.

Getting his hands up. Ready to shuffle.
His favorite part is playing defense and trying to pull the flags.

1, 2, 3 BENGALS!
