I'm Freaking Out Mom!

That's what Noah said while we were watcing it rain golf balls in our back yard! Logan said, "I see golf balls!" and then, "I hear a rumble!"
We had the piggy bank in hail: dime, nickel, penny, and quarter. We even had some large marble and bouncy ball sized hail.

From the front porch. Matt called and I told him not to come home. We don't need a broken windshield. However, we may have to break down and get a new roof. Yikes!
Some pieces that I picked up from just off the porch. There were a few "golf balls" that did fall, but it was still raining.

A Little Mom's TLC!

Mattie was the belle of the church nursery this morning. Thanks Tracye and Lauren for letting us model these adorable overalls!
(I'll work on getting a better picture after she wakes up from her nap. This was the best I could do before she got cranky!!!)

Bathtub Funny

Matt was giving the boys a bath a couple of nights ago. They have the foam ABC letters that stick up on the wall of the tub. Matt was spelling words for them: home, heart, house, noah, logan, etc. The next word he spelled was BONE and told them it said "bone." The next thing you know, Noah slaps the 'R' at the end and says, "What does that spell dad?!?"

Mattie Is 4 Months Old!

So it happened last week, but here are her stats:

Height: 25 inches (75-90%)
Weight: 14 lbs. 6 oz. (75%)
Head is at 50%

She's right on schedule with milestones: holding her head up, cooing and talking, bringing her hands together, rolling tummy to back, and sleeping through the night! She loves her big brothers, and gives them big smiles. Noah gets so excited when she "talks" to him. She's my precious Mattie-girl, and she gets more and more fun every day!

Happy 60th Papa!

My Daddy turns 60 today! I must admit, I'm a daddy's girl. I hope Mattie will be one too. My Daddy has always been there to cheer me on. I remember when he would show up at my gymnastics practices to watch. His "atta-girls" were the best! I still love getting them.

We love you Papa! Thank you so much for all that you do for us! We hope 60 is spectacular! You may think of yourself as Grandpa Grouch, but you will always be our lovable Papa Bear! Happy Happy Birthday!

Fun At The "Other" Lake

Last Monday, we went to Kris (my dad's cousin) and Tom's house on Medina Lake. It was a Family Reunion Luncheon for my Dad's side of the family.
The boys played football in the yard.
Down, Set, Hut, Hut, Hut!
He's running for the Touchdown!
They played on the swing set.

And of course, Logan tried to throw all the rocks back into the lake!

Four generations in this picture!

My Daddy's The Trumpet Player

Thanks Grammy (and Aunt Tracye for making them!)!!! The overalls made it through all three kids!

Monster Jam Birthday!

We had Noah's 5th birthday party at Main Event: pizza, cake, glow-golf and games!
The AWESOME cake that Niki made!
The Birthday Boy!
Blowing out his candles.
Super cool marble run from Travis.
Hitting the links!
His very own Rock Band guitar from Grandma and Papa!
Now we really do have a complete Rock Band. It's the Cothern Boys! Some of their hits include: Carry On My Wayward Son, More Than A Feeling, Mississippi Queen, The Space Song (AKA Long Time), and "Don't You Know That You Are A" Shooting Star.

Happy Birthday Sweet Noah

My precious first born.
6 months old

1 Year Old

2 Years Old

3 Years Old

4th Birthday (seems like just yesterday!)
Today my sweet boy turns 5! I can't believe how fast the time has flown. As I sit here typing this, it was about this time 5 years ago that my water broke. 8 1/2 hours later, my little 5 lb. 15 oz. baby boy was born. And now in just a few short months, I will be taking you to your first day of Kindergarten! You have such a sweet spirit and gentle heart. (except when you are beating up on daddy!) I am so proud of you, and Mommy loves you so much. You can stop growing now and stay my little boy forever!

Happy Birthday Noah!
