Growing Up A Little More

The other morning I checked on the boys to find them both asleep in Logan's bed.
Thursday Noah graduated from preschool, so today I decided he could graduate to the top bunk!
We got the beds ready:

Noah climbed up, super excited.

Logan was promoted from the trundle on the floor to the bottom bunk. He's already looking forward to when he gets bigger and can take turns sleeping on the top bunk!
I'm not sure how long it will take for the newness to wear off. They both came out about 5 minutes later to go to the bathroom. I think Noah just wanted to climb down and back up! It took over an hour, but they are finally sound asleep.

10 Years Ago Today.........

My Happily Ever After began.

My Girls.

First Kiss as Husband and Wife.

The Wedding Party

Fight Raiders Fight!
Go, Fight, Win!
Here we are, ten years and three kids later. I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything. I married the man of my dreams, my perfect match, the man God created just for me! I cherish every memory we have made, and I look forward to what is to come. If I could have one wish today, it would be that time would slow down, and the next 10 years wouldn't go by as fast as the first 10.

Happy Anniversary my love! I love you with all that I am.

Mom and Dad: Thank you for teaching me what marriage should look like. I love you!
Bob and Sharon: Thank you for raising your son to be a godly man, to be my husband and lead our family. I love you guys!

6 Months and Growing!

I can't believe she is over 6 months old already.
weight: 15 lbs. 5 oz. (25-50%)
height: 27 1/4 inches (90%)
head: 42.5 cm (25-50%)
Our check up went great! We are right on track developmentally, only needing work on sitting up and rolling from our back to tummy. She's a big talker - think of Scuttle (from the Little Mermaid) when he tries to serenade Arial and Prince Eric in the row boat. She loves to chew on her toes and tries to get her entire fist into her mouth. Teeth surely must be on the way. She loves to watch her brothers, and smiles with her whole body. She's been eating cereal for about a month now, and we added carrots yesterday. Today's carrots went down much easier - no shudders and she didn't spit any out! I think we'll try applesauce next. She's my Mattie girl, and I'm trying to drink in every day because it is flying by way too fast.

It's In My Blood

Nine years ago today, I was certified to be a Jazzercise instructor.
24 Years ago, I was Jazzercise-ing at my 8th birthday party.
I'm addicted, won't stop, and you can't make me.
I teach 4 classes a week to a group of FABULOUS ladies.
Tomorrow morning in class, I will be celebrating by pulling out ALL tapes, and doing routines from my workshop audition year. So old school and so much fun. Jazzercise sure has changed with the times. It began back in 1969 and is still going strong. You'll notice the record player in the picture! Now we buy all of our music from iTunes! If you have never Jazzercised, check us out. We are EVERYWHERE. Go to www.jazzercise.com and see where there is a class near you. If you don't think you can, come visit my class - I have a 78 year old that dances with me!

Carrots....Not So Much

The first bite.
Mattie had her first taste of real food today - carrots. I think it threw her for a loop.
We did ok through the first few bites, then it pretty much went downhill from there.
I got this face, a whole body shudder, and the carrots came back out.

We persevered, powered through, alternated bites with cereal, and made it to the end. Unfortunately, we can't try something else for 2 more days.
Maybe we'll like carrots tomorrow????

Seeing Red

The 200th Post!!!

Deserves a trophy!
Noah finished up his first season of flag football last weekend. It was the "Super Bowl" vs. the Bucs. They won! Noah had a HUGE run down the sideline to set up a touchdown for his buddy, David. He also pulled 2 flags on defense. He had his best game of the season.
He spent a lot of time chewing on his mouthpiece. Matt called him a "little Blake Griffin."

Get ready, Noah!

His favorite thing was to play defense.

Everyone getting their trophies.

David and Noah

Proud Daddy with his boys.

Overtime: Later that night, Matt was putting the boys to bed. He told them to pick out one story to read. Noah said, "I don't need you to read me a story tonight dad. I'm going to read to my trophy." He did just that. Then he asked Matt if he could sleep with it. The next morning, down the stairs he came, trophy in hand. He loves it!

Sweet Baby Mattie

Sunday, May 3rd, we dedicated Matilyn Dawn to God at Hill Country Bible Church. We were blessed in many ways on this special day. Grandma, Papa, Grammy and Grandpa were all there to be a part of the celebration.
The boys were very well behaved. Logan only picked his nose once!
After the dedication by Pastor Tim, we went down to the front to pray over Mattie. Adarryl Jordan (one of Matt's close friends from Tech) was the pastor leading our prayer.

My sweet baby girl is such a gift from God. I'm so thankful that He has her future in His hands, and that He is guiding me every step of the way.

A Much Needed Smile

Don't you just want to eat her up!?
This is way better than cookie dough.
(I went to the fridge to get butter out to let it soften to make some cookie dough, only 1 stick of butter. Bummer.)

Happy Mother's Day!

I am truly blessed.
I have the best friend a girl could have in her mother. She doesn't care that I call her at least four times a day (no really, I call her A LOT!) She drives 120 miles just to spend 24 hours with me and the kids. She would do absolutely anything for me, and does! I have learned so much from her, and I thank God daily that she is my mom. I pray that Matilyn loves me as much as I love my mom when she's 32.

Not only do I have the most amazing mother, I have a fabulous mother-in-law. I don't meet too many women who tell me they love their MIL, mostly they tolerate them. Mine is the best. She raised a godly man that I am proud to call my husband. She is a terrific Grammy to my kids. I can't wait for her to finally be able to retire. A lot of kids will miss out on a great teacher, but we will gain a whole lot of time to spend with her.

Happy Mother's Day to 2 very special ladies that I admire so much. I love you both with all my heart. Thanks for showing me what being a mom is all about.

Happy Birthday to my Bubba.....A few days late!

Happy Birthday to my big brother! Even though you used to practice every wrestling move on me, I still love you. I'm glad that we are so close.
You are a GREAT dad, and a super-cool uncle!
Thanks for being my big brother!

Mmmmmm.....Good!

The first messy bite!
Mattie is eating cereal!
I decided to start her on a little cereal to try and help her reflux. It seems to be helping a little.
She wasn't too sure about it at first. Most of it ended up dribbling down her chin. Makes a cute picture!
What IS this stuff?!?
Hey, it's pretty good.
I like food!
Bring on the fruits and veggies!!!!
