For Logan's 3rd birthday, Mommy and Daddy took the family to the circus. Daddy took Friday off so we could go to the morning show. We got there in time to catch just a few minutes of the pre-show on the circus floor.
The boys checked out one of the motorcycles. When I told Logan the night before that we might see motorcycles, he said, "No, motorcycles go on the road!" We did see motorcycles! Seven of them got in the steel cage and went round and round! Unbelievable!
So, I decided to take the "little" camera to save space and make my diaper bag a little lighter. I took one picture and the battery light started flashing. Oops. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted, but I was able to get a few to show you we were there. The boys had a great time. Mattie was fascinated with the lights and music. Noah wants to be the Ringmaster and Logan decided he wants to be a tiger!
There's a little more to the story....we sat in the parking garage, not moving for 30 minutes. Matt got out and went to try and figure out what was happening. The boys were whining in the back about being hungry, why aren't the cars moving, etc. Turns out, after wrapping around about 4 times, the line was trying to feed one car at a time into one lane of traffic, at a stop light, that turned into more circus traffic. No cop. We got out and hit the pavement. After a few phone calls to UT people, we located a place to eat - Brick Oven. It's a good thing the boys LOVE cheese pizza. We even saw some of the performers there! When we got back to the car the garage was empty and we drove right out.
Note to self: take the illegal right turn and park next to the exit, or pick a different garage, so we don't stroll around downtown Austin in 100+ heat.
