Hanging With The Austin Toros

Neighborhood Sports (the league Noah plays basketball in) put together a free clinic this afternoon with the Austin Toros. The Toros are the NBA Developmental team for the San Antonio Spurs. Good thing Noah wore his basketball shoes to church, because we accidentally left his shorts at home!
Getting some good practice tips from the pros.

Noah got autographs afterwards on his basketball.

Happy Birthday, Brady!

Angry Birds at the Hoppin House.
Logan had a blast.

I think Logan liked that he was the only one of the three to go to the party. Something that was all for him.

Game 3: Jazz vs. Bobcats

Noah with the pump fake.
 Two points for Noah!
 Dribbling up the court.

Caught him just after he passed the ball!
 Way to hustle boys!
The Jazz are now 2-1 on the season, with their toughest game of the season coming next week vs. the Celtics.

Sears, You Have A Problem.....

If only you could come fix it before Monday (between 1-5)!!!!
Even more frustrating - it's only 5 months old.
Only bright side - it's under warranty.

Delayed Brehm Christmas

Last Saturday, the entire Brehm family (minus Conner - burning the Aggie bonfire; and Shirlee - she had to work) met in Kingsland for a delayed Christmas gathering. As the Brehm's usually do, we ate, we laughed, we played games, we opened gifts, and had a great time being together.
 Mattie opening a Barbie bathtub.

Logan and Noah opening some cool new treasures!

On their way home Sunday, my parents and my brother's family stopped for lunch with us at Logan's Roadhouse.
These two had a great time being together!

Playing Games

Guess who always ends up winning?
Just call him Logan J. Moneybags!

Noah is learning to play chess. One indication that this child is on his way to being smarter than his Momma!

We've also been having Qwirkle matches at night before bed. Usually it's Logan and Dad vs. Noah vs. Mommy. Last night, Logan decided to be on Mom's team, and Dad and Noah were flying solo. Noah convincingly won his first solo game last night. He was pretty pumped. (We won't mention that Daddy came in last.)

Cuteness On A Trike

Taking advantage of 82 degrees outside.
Mattie worked on pedaling the trike, and Logan rode his Strider.
Not sure how I feel about the warmth, it is January after all.
And I have some cute boots and sweaters that need wearing!

 We love this game!
If you love to play games like we do, you should check it out.
Thanks Aunt Julie for an awesome Christmas present!

Tale As Old As Time

Took my favorite little lady to see my favorite movie today. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money to see a movie in the theater that I've already seen at least 100 times. One that we can watch over and over again at home. For free. But then I started thinking. Hard to believe, but I never saw it in the theater the first time around. (1991) I wanted Mattie to see it on the big screen. And it was in 3D. Beauty and the Beast was as wonderful and magical as ever. Mattie's face lit up over and over again. It was the perfect afternoon outing with my little princess.

Basketball Season Begins

After a successful season of coaching football, Matt decided to coach a season of basketball. After 2 practices, he wasn't sure what to expect today at their first game.
The Jazz are ready for tipoff.

Noah hustled and played great. He had 4 points and at least 1 assist.
Coach makes sure that all the kids are having a good time.
The Jazz WIN their home opener 46-10!
Every kiddo hustled hard. There were a lot of red faces in the post game huddle. This should be a fun way to bridge the gap to the Spring football season!
Way to go Jazz!

Celebratory ice cream at Yo Yo Yogurt!

Hungry, Hungry Elephants

I couldn't get her to smile at me. You can see she was on my shoulders so she could see over the crowd. She was holding on for dear life. I promise she loved it. She wouldn't let me leave. We watched these four elephants eat apples and bananas for 30 minutes.

What Every Daddy Wants To Hear

While Mommy and the boys were cheering for the Stars, Daddy was having special time with his little girl. As Mattie was getting ready to take a bath, she looked down at her tights and noticed they were dirty.

M: Uh-oh, they're dirty. Can we wash them?
D: Yes.
M: Can we wash them in the bath tub?
D: No, we can put them in the washing machine.
M: (getting super excited) Oh Daddy, you're a GENIUS!

Date Night With My Little Men

At a hockey game, of course!
And where there's hockey, there's dippin' dots!

(Daddy had playtime with his girl. They played castle and dancing princesses. He didn't take a picture. Imagine that.)

Texas Stars Hockey On The Glass!

 They LOVED it!
Our Burritt friends were at the game, too, so Aidan came down and sat in a seat next to the boys.
And his parents, Tom and Kristin, made it on the Kiss Cam!
Bummer that the Stars lost in overtime.
The bright side? There's another game on Wednesday.
This Momma gets to take her little men on a date.
Can't wait!
