Purgatory Fun - Day One!

 Snow Much Fun!

Our SnowSports School Rock Stars with their instructor, Storm.
First family ride up the lift!
One day of ski school was all it took. We spent the rest of the trip chasing them down the mountain!

Mattie was desperate to sled. We weren't too sure how deep the "sledding hill" was, so she made her own sled paths.

Our condo is the farthest one on the end of the right row of condos.

 This is joy.

So this is probably the place to document that no Cothern trip would be complete without it's share of bumps and hiccups. This morning started with a 20 minute search for the lift tickets and ski school passes. Then, we couldn't get the car up the sheet of ice on the driveway. Then we had just missed the 9:00 shuttle. The next shuttle wasn't until 9:30. The kids were supposed to report for ski school no later than 9:30. Thankfully Matt tried one more time to get the car out. Success! We all piled in and made the drive over to DMR, and made it to ski school on time! Phew. That was work. We had an awesome day on the mountain, retrieved our car, and Noah discovered that his brand new goggles had fallen off of his helmet somewhere. Seriously??? Hallelujah, someone had just turned them in to Guest Services. Lucky boy. Back at the condo, heading down the hill into the garage area, we slid sideways into the snow bank! Rock pillar just ahead. Matt turned the wheel, let off the break, and we prayed to miss the pillar as we slid the rest of the way into the garage. Tomorrow we will take the 8:30 shuttle.
