Happy Belated Birthday Uncle Rob!!!

Here's hoping that you were treated like royalty,
danced like no one was watching,

let it all hang out,

and enjoyed the ride!
We love you Uncle Rob!

One Year Ago Today......

In The Words of Lionel Richie - "Just Go!"

"How would you like to sail away in the Bahamas?"
"Just Go, Go, Go, Go...Drop everything and just go."
We're headed to the airport in Houston, and we are EXCITED!!!!

Here is our airplane:
A "first" for all 3 kids.

The kids did fantastic on the plane. Mattie sat in my lap and eventually went to sleep. When a screaming kid behind us woke her up, I fed her lunch and she was happy the rest of the way!
The boys had DVDs, their Leapsters, and Daddy to entertain them. Pepsi and GingerAle were the drinks of choice.

Papa and Grandma played Gin.

After the plane ride, it was time to take a bus to the cruise ship terminal.

Here are the boys, ready to board the ship:

On deck 9, waving good-bye to Miami:

Miami Beach

Here we are:
SUPER excited and at the same time, wondering what in the heck we were getting ourselves in to.

Cruising on the Carnival Destiny

First of many, in a series of posts about our Caribbean Cruise. We flew to Miami, boarded the Destiny, and set sail on a 5 day cruise. Yes, we took ALL 3 kids. Actually, Grandma and Papa took ALL 5 of us! We spent the first day at sea, day 2 at Grand Turk, day 3 at Half Moon Cay Bahamas, and day 4 at Nassau, Bahamas. It was a crazy trip, but we had a wonderful time. Here are a few shots of the boat.
Docked in Grand Turk.

Tendered at sea at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.
There are no words or pictures that do this water justice. The color is unreal.

I'm going to try and be organized about posting the trip. If only I knew how to create a slideshow. I don't think I'm that blog-smart! Next up - leaving for the trip!

11 Months Old!

Before I know it, this little angel is gonna be ONE! She is growing up way too fast. She has finally become "mobile." It is not conventional crawling, but more of a scooch/inch/army/chest slide type of crawl. But it gets her to where she wants to go.
I try to tell her she would be much faster if she would get up on all 4s. She has pushed from her tummy to sitting up a couple of times: one time when she was trying to climb on Daddy, and then I found her sitting in her bed the other day when I went to get her from her nap.
She's getting into everything!
She loves to smile and giggle, especially at her brothers, or "buh" as she likes to call them.
She discovered her first door stop the other night, and played with it for about 10 minutes.
Grandma let her try spaghetti.
What is this stuff?
Her top two teeth are SO close to breaking through. I'm hoping for some more teeth soon, so that we can start experimenting with more "real" food. She's waving and saying bye-bye. She says "mama," "dada," and "muh" for more.

I love this little girl. I love that I get to be her mommy. I love watching her learn and explore each day, and discovering the world through her big, beautiful, brown eyes. I can't believe that I'm already planning her first birthday party.
*gulp*
