In The Past Week......

Beginnings of a front porch facelift.

Getting rid of the red bathroom:

 Started packing boxes:
Making bigger messes to try and clear out the mess:
 More front porch facelift:

Making a little progress. Can you tell?
Beginning to "stage" rooms and closets:

More boxes ready to be moved to storage:
 House is getting a bath:
 Storage unit is filling up.
There is still so much to do. Hoping to be completely staged and ready by the time we leave town on Tuesday. In the mean time, I'm trying to remember to come up for air!

Splash Day!

This girl loves to play in water!
Splashin' with her best buddy Adelyn.
 Logan's last preschool splash day!
Swimming with his best buddy, Ty!

 WooHoo!

An Evening With Greatness

I got this in the mail:
I thought it must be junk mail. Why are the Texas Exes sending us something?
Then I opened it:
It's my friend, Laura!
And she invited Matt and me to the reception. Of course we were going to go!
Receiving her award, and giving her acceptance speech.
Laura with the other Outstanding Young Texas Exes.

Laura and Me
We go way back.
You know the saying:
Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver and the other gold.

Laura is gold. Literally. She won a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She loves and honors God in all that she does. And now she's a gold medal mommy of a beautiful little girl.

I was truly honored that she asked us to be a part of her special night.
Congratulations, friend. You ROCK!

13 Years Ago......

We made a huge decision to say I do!

Today, on our 13th anniversary, we made another huge decision:
Yikes!

CenTex Tournament

After playing together for 2 seasons, the Ravens decided to try their skills in the CenTex Tournament last weekend. They played 4 games (20 minutes each) in the morning against teams from other leagues around Austin. The top teams would then play in the final tournament in the afternoon. The boys played their hearts out. They won their first game. The next two, they lost on the last play of each game. In game 4 they lost another heart-breaker in double overtime.

Noah was his usual flag-pulling machine.
It was a great season.
We celebrated Monday night with a party at Mighty Fine.
This team mom is ready for the offseason - getting to sleep in a little on Saturdays!

Friday Fun Day!

Hi Sea World! We are so excited to be here!
Where should we go first?
Take a ride on the Shamu Express.
She wasn't too sure about it, but she did it! :)

Waiting to feed the dolphins:

Hanging out with the Sesame Street Gang.
Noah and Daddy took a ride on the Steel Eel!
 This boy has no fear!
Feeding the sea lions and seals.

Mom and Noah take a splash on Journey to Atlantis!
We tried to end the day at the new Shamu show. Momma and baby were swimming around and wouldn't cooperate, so after 20 minutes of trying to get them into the back pool, they had to call the show. We were bummed, but we'll catch it next time!
We had a super fun day, and we can't wait to come back!
