New 'Do

I had 3 kid free hours this morning (thanks Kristin!) to get a new haircut/color. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but there are some bangs in there. Haven't had those since 1990! Krista had a little fun with the curling iron. Not sure what it will look like tomorrow when I try to "style" it myself.
I tried to get a better picture of the color.
Note: Not a big fan of taking pictures of myself.

First Slumber Party

Last weekend, we made a quick trip to Houston for the TECH vs. UH game. It was a late night game, so along the way we stopped in Brenham to drop the boys off at Grammy and Grandpa's. Mattie got to go to Bellville for a girls' night with my best friend Tracye and her daughter Lauren.

Someone forgot to tell her that it is ok to actually sleep at a slumber party. The girl partied until almost 11. Aunt Chey thinks that she didn't want to be the first one to go to sleep and get her bra frozen!
I think Mattie had fun getting to have a big sister for a day. Lauren got some good practice in. She's going to be a for real big sister in April!!!
THANK YOU Tracye and Lauren (and Mr. Rand) for letting my baby girl sleep over. We had fun at the game (aside from the miserable outcome), and I'm thankful I didn't have to hold a sweaty, cranky baby for 4 hours!

And in case you were wondering if the boys had a good time:
They both passed out on the way home. And Noah hardly EVER falls asleep in the car!

Pulling Up!

Matilyn was thinking about pulling up at Grammy and Grandpa's house over Labor Day weekend:

Last Sunday (9/27) I turned around and this is what I saw:
She did it while no one was looking!
So proud of herself!
She hasn't done it on her own since, but she's getting lots of practice by grabbing for your fingers and pulling herself up.

Cute Moments

The boys were wrestling with Daddy the other night. Noah yelled out "dog pile" and jumped on Daddy.

Daddy said, "It's more like a monster pile. You guys are my little monsters."

I bravely asked, "What is it if mommy gets on the pile?"

Noah says, "MONSTERS VS. ALIENS!"

Mommy's Girl

I think red just might be our "signature color."

Weekend Preview

We are headed to Lubbock this weekend to watch Texas Tech play Rice. It will be Matilyn's very first football game. The whole family is going, and even Grandma. We will get to watch Daddy march on the field with the Alumni Band.
I think she's ready to get her guns up!
We are saving the official uniform for game day! Stay tuned, even more adorable pictures to come!

One Last Summer Ski.....

A lazy, summer Saturday on Lake LBJ.
This is still one of my very most favorite places on earth.
Thanks Dad for pulling us all over the river.

*I wouldn't let Matt take my picture......

Logan's a Fabulous Fish!

Logan started pre-school on Tuesday. He is in the young 3's class - the Fabulous Fish. He has the same teachers that Noah did, Ms. Joy and Ms. Christy. We LOVE them! And he loves going to school.

Following Daddy into High Hopes.
No tears, no hesitation, no problems. Sitting on his lily pad and ready to HAVE FUN!!!
My little man is getting so big!
