In The Swing Of Things

Can She Be Any More Adorable?

Dressed for church. She's not really a big fan of the tights. I don't blame her.

February in Texas

I can wear a sleeveless dress!!!!
And look really, really, REALLY cute!
I don't quite have the hang of this bumbo yet.....
But I'll get there! I'm almost 4 months old!

Can't Believe I Actually Did It.....

I took all three kids to the grocery store this afternoon.....and I SURVIVED! Thank you HEB for space ship grocery carts, chocolate-chocolate chip cookies, toy aisles with "piderman" and monster trucks, buddy bucks, and help out to my car. I'm sorry I left my bags in the car, again. I promise to recycle the plastic ones. Oh, and Mattie loves the hotsling. I did get funny looks and a few "brave" comments. And one lady told me I was a wide load. Should I be insulted?!? Nah, just totally exhausted!

Happy Birthday Aunt Chey!

I had a really hard time finding a picture of you! You are the one behind the camera taking all of the awesome pictures! I'm sorry I am so late with this wish. The day is almost over, but this is the time when all of the kids are in bed!
We hope you had a fabulous birthday. We are sending lots and lots of love from Austin. Happy Birthday to my very special sister-in-law (and terrific mommy) who makes my brother so incredibly happy.
PS - Grandma is bringing you your gift!

Monster Jam Maddness!

This is Daddy's first experience with Monster trucks. Brandy took the boys last year. This year, she stayed with Chey, Sarah, and Matilyn at Uncle Jimmy's house. Grandma took all of her boys to the Monster Jam in Reliant Stadium.

Every time you asked Logan if he was going to see the monster trucks, he would say, "Monster trucks too woud (loud). You have to do dis (puts hands over ears). The motorcycles are not to woud."
Grave Digger
One of the highlights of the show!
The boys love Monster Mutt!
The big, giant, car-crushing robot dinosaur.

A thrill a minute!!!

Best Cousins! Noah loves his cousin Eric. It was after Monster Jam that Noah had his first sleepover. (See earlier post) He had so much fun that he invited himself to another one, two weeks later!

Pitch and Putt With Dad

Matt took a week off from work, starting last Wednesday. Se we loaded up the family and headed down to the pitch-n-putt. It was a beautiful day, and the boys were so excited to play some REAL golf! Logan looked hilarious running after his ball, golf club dragging behind him. Noah has quite a swing!

Mattie and mommy enjoyed the sunshine and their boys!
After, we headed down the street to have lunch at a local Austin hot-spot, Shady Grove. Then we headed back to our side of town for a concrete at Freddy's Frozen Custard. It's great to have daddy home with us for a week! We will be spoiled and sad when he has to go back.

My Sweet Mattie Girl

Already 3 months old. I can't believe how fast time is flying. She has been on a great schedule for about 2 weeks now. She's usually asleep by 10pm and then she gets up to eat around 8am. At 12 weeks, she weighed 13 lbs. 5.5 oz. She's smiling and cooing more and more each day, and now that her reflux is under control, she's overall a much happier girl! Mommy is in love with her baby girl.

Wishful Thinking!

“I believe that after I say goodnight to my children they will stay in their beds and, perhaps after reading a chapter from one of their many classic children’s novels, will fall sound asleep, leaving me to have an uninterrupted and stimulating conversation with my husband while enjoying a glass of merlot by candlelight beside a flickering fire. (This, by the way, is very similar to believing in the Easter Bunny.)”

Sleepovers

Matt was tucking the boys in for bed the night before we went to Houston last weekend. Noah was excited about his 2nd sleepover with Eric (he invited himself).

N: Dad, I just don't want to have a sleepover at Kate's house.

D: That's good. Why is that?

N: Her room is pink, and I just don't like pink!

We didn't forget, Aunt Julie!

HAPPY VERY BELATED BIRTHDAY AUNT JULIE!!!
I promise we meant to call and sing to you!
We hope you had a great day, and that the FORCE was with you!
(Between being out of town and having a migraine on Sunday, I dropped the ball.)
We love you bunches! Make sure Claire gives her mommy tons of birthday hugs and kisses from all of us!
