Beauty and the Beast

Wednesday night my sweet hubby took me out to dinner, and then I took him to see Beauty and the Beast, the musical. It is my favorite Disney movie, and the show was awesome! Thank you Grandma for hanging with the kids so we could have a fun night out!

Down On The Tree Farm

 This one fell asleep on the rainy drive out to the farm.

Taking a hay ride out to the trees:

 It took a little while, but we finally found our tree. The drought really took its toll on the trees at the farm, but with a little love this one would be perfect in the cozy corner of our house.

 She did not want to be in the picture. And she did not want to walk in the rain boots she was wearing!

 But then she decided it was okay:

We went to Lubbock for Homecoming on Saturday. I got to cheer on the field for the first half of the game. I even got to do a back flip basket toss - my favorite! The game didn't end the way we wanted, but we had a fun time feeling like we were back in college for a few hours!

A New Treasure To Cherish

My Mommy made this quilt for me. She gave it to me today. I cried. She told me when I need a hug and she's not here, that I should wrap myself up in this quilt and it is a hug from her. You will find me wrapped in it often. Thank you Mommy for this amazing gift of love.

It may not look like much, but to me it's an afternoon of cleaning and organizing the pantry. Feels good to actually accomplish something off the list.

Happy Birthday To My Sweet Friend!

Friday, April 1st was Crystal birthday. No jokin'! Ryan got tickets to go see Chris Cornell, and invited Matt and me along. We hit Perry's first for an awesomely yummy dinner, and then walked over to the Paramount Theater for a fantastic concert! After the show, we walked around downtown Austin, people watching. We hit the Speakeasy for a drink, and then went to the 24 Diner for a little dessert. Matt and I have been in Austin a little over 10 years, and I think this was the most "Austin" we have been, and it was all in one night! Overall it was a fabulous night celebrating my sweet friend.
