Weekend Visitors

Grammy and Grandpa came last weekend, and brought cousins Claire and Lauren with them. The girls had a big time playing with all of Mattie's princesses, toys, and reading books in her closet. Mattie has been missing her Claire. She has been "talking" to her on her pink cell phone everyday this week!

While Her Bubbas Are Away.....

We've been watching a particular Special Agent Oso lately. A lot. In the episode, he helps a little girl make a bird feeder. Mattie and Mommy decided to make one today.

 First, she decided she needed to paint a birdhouse. She picked sunny yellow.

  Next up, the bird feeder:

 Spreading the peanut butter on the giant pine cone (thanks Hobby Lobby!).

 Roll it in the bird seed:

 Add a ribbon, and TA-DA!

 We hung it in the tree near the fountain.

 Here ya go birdies!

Welcome Walk 2012

 Getting ready for our first welcome walk at Cactus Ranch Elementary. Tonight the boys waited for their teachers to knock on the door. The theme for the school year is "Taking Care Of Business." We incorporated that into our signs.

Game Room Update

Matt and I mounted the TV this afternoon and anchored the bookcases. Now to find all of the boxes that contain the stuff to fill the shelves.

Ready To Party With The Express!

Thanks to Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Chey, Logan has an awesome new shirt to wear to his birthday bash with the Round Rock Express! (if you didn't know, the Express are the farm team for the Texas Rangers) He was so excited! Praying for a break in the rain tomorrow to squeeze in a party. Should make for a great evening for baseball with cooler temps!

Mom and Dad gave Logan a new bike for his birthday. We had to visit 3 different stores to find the right one. He's had a couple of chances to get outside and practice with Dad. He's almost got it. We didn't get to practice today because it is actually raining!
