The kids loved getting to facetime Eric and sing happy birthday to him. I can't believe he is 16. Seems like just yesterday I was holding a 3 lb 8 oz little nugget when he was only a few days old. What an awesome young man he is growing up to be. We love you!

Casino Night With The Texas Stars

We had a fun night out with the Stars. This one is #7 - Colton Sceviour. He's had a few games this season playing with the Dallas Stars. We played craps and won enough to have 6 raffle tickets. I put them all in the K1 Speed raffle jar. And I won!!! Noah gets to have his birthday party there, which is what he wanted, so he's pretty excited about that.

The Great "Snow" Day Of 2014

Really, it's ice. From the sleet that accumulated overnight. I'm not sure how the temperature was 26, it felt like 12, and it managed NOT to turn to snow. Regardless, Mattie couldn't wait to get outside and play in the snow! The kids enjoyed being off from school and getting to hang out with their friends all day.

I took the kids to the roller rink on our Monday fun-day holiday. It was Noah and Logan's first time on skates. Mattie was excited to skate circles around her brothers! After resembling Bambi for a few laps, they got the hang of it. We had fun skating with our friends, and letting Mommy feel like she was back in junior high!

Mermaid In My Tub

Sheesh.

Logan and Noah had their first basketball games today. Grandma and Papa came to watch, and we went to lunch, and yet this is the only picture I took. Caleb and Logan goofing off while their big brothers played their game. The boys did awesome despite tough losses for both teams. We'll get 'em next weekend. And maybe I'll actually get a better picture!

In the midst of all the car chaos, I managed to pull together and host a fun night of Bunco with the girls in the 'hood. This is me, celebrating a successful night, finishing off the last of the peppermint mocha martinis. Yum!

Something's missing from this garage. My suburban! I almost broke down on the toll road today. Managed to limp it to the auto shop. Unhappy to report we get the honor of purchasing a brand spanking new transmission. Sometimes I really don't like being the grown up. Thank you to my mom and dad for bringing me a loaner car for the rest of the week. You guys are the best!

I've Decided.....

In-N-Out is to California as Whataburger is to Texas. We tried it out for the first time today. It was pretty good, but I would rather go to Mighty Fine the next time I crave a cheeseburger. And Whataburger will always have my heart (stomach) when it comes to french fries!

What I Did On Christmas Break

And still doing.... making a 99 page digital scrapbook of our Disney trip. It's been a lot of work, but it will be totally worth it. I'm almost finished. Just trying to figure out how to squeeze 200 pictures into 8 pages! When I finish this, I can move on to the Blog Book for 2013!
