At the last minute we decided to jump in the car and drive to the San Antonio Zoo. We thought about going later in the week, but with football practices starting this week, we loaded up and went. It almost was a no good, very bad idea. Lots of other people had the same idea. Makes sense, it is spring break after all, but frustrations were running a little high. We finally made it into the zoo, spent 3 beautifully sunshiney hours enjoying the afternoon.

After the zoo, we stopped for a yummy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and dessert at Amy's Ice Cream. What started out shaky turned into a successful second day of spring break.
