A Magnificent Kid

Tonight we had the pleasure of watching Noah perform in his 3rd grade music program, "The Magnificent 7." He downloaded and printed off all the music to practice, and was so excited for us to come and watch. We celebrated with a little Freddy's custard afterwards.

Me And My Girl

Mommy's little girl has been under the weather this week. Five days of fever means lots of snuggles and movies for us girls. We finally went to the doctor today and found out she has ear infections. While we were waiting for the pharmacy to fill the prescription, we treated ourselves to lunch at Wendy's.

In My Office

I spent most of the day on the couch, snuggling with a sick little girl. It didn't leave much opportunity for taking pictures. But this is how I spent my time after the kids went to bed. Learning a few new routines for class tomorrow morning. I've been teaching Jazzercise for almost 13 years. And I have roughly 1300 routines swimming around in my brain. It's safe to say I'm addicted.

Feeling Blessed, Yet Again

Since July 27th, there has been a moment in each day that I have had that "I still can't believe it" feeling. The "I still can't believe we have actually moved into this wonderful house, in this great neighborhood, on this fabulous street" feeling. This was the moment today. Having a game room to spread out our toys to imagine, create, and play. And then we cleaned it all up and had a family dance party! 

Thank you, Lord, for your abundance of blessings.

Monday Fun-Day!

The kids had Monday off from school for the MLK holiday, so we headed over to Pluckers for the Texas Stars game watch party. Daddy was able to join us for a little while, and we stayed for the entire game. It was a good thing that we did! During the intermissions, they were having trivia. My name was drawn and the boys helped me answer the question right. We won 4 tickets to sit on the players' bench during pre-game warm ups! Way Too Cool!

At the end of the day - after Jazzercise, running errands, napping to fight off a headache, taking and picking up kids from school, getting outside to enjoy the sunshine and warmer temps, rushing off to basketball practice, dinner at Torchy's, and bathing kids and putting them to bed -  I realized I hadn't taken a pic for the day. So here's the errand running result: a craft project diaper wreath for a baby shower, iron decor for my bathroom, and some clothes for my kiddos. I went to bed at ten, y'all.

Stupid lady running the red light as I am trying to turn left on my green light, causing the guy in front of me to slam on his breaks, and me slamming on my brakes, and crunching into the back of him. Not the best way to start my Wednesday. Good thing I had bunco to look forward to!

They had 2 going at once. Probably would have been 3 had Electronic Battleship worked. The battery compartment went kaput. Parts tend to do that after 30 years.

So my parents are moving to the lake. Sooner than later. Every time they come to my house, they bring me a suburban load of stuff - whether it's mine or not! Mostly it's mine. Today it was all of the games that my brother and I played growing up. My boys lit up like it was Christmas all over again. Before I knew it, Stop Thief was spread out over the game room floor and crimes were being committed! They are already making plans to play Battleship when they get home from school tomorrow. Good thing this family loves to play games.

It's A Rite Of Passage

Took the turn too fast, clipped the light pole with his handlebars, and over he went. So thankful he was wearing his helmet. And for the ER doctor on our street that calmed this momma's heart. He's one tough kid.

This little girl had a blast singing and dancing in the rain today. I think Mommy needs some rain boots so I can join her next time.
