I couldn't find a card that expressed what I feel, and even now I'm finding it hard to put into words. You mean the world to me. I hope you have a wonderful weekend cruising the Texas Hill Country.

Spring Spruce Up

 Matt worked REALLY hard on the yard today, and got his garden planted. The roses and wisteria are ready to explode with color!

I helped a little. I planted some new plants in the front, and spread the mulch in the beds. I'm excited to see my crawling plumbago come back, and can't wait for them to bloom!

Purple Promise

 Mattie finally decided that she wanted purple fingers and toes like Mommy. I just happened to have 60 second drying purple iridescent polish. I promised I would paint them after the football games. She didn't let me forget.

Spring Flag Football - It Begins!

 Logan had the first game this morning.

Lions vs. Bengals

 He played defense in the first half and pulled 2 flags! One while he was laying on his back!

In the 2nd half he was on offense, and he was awesome! Here's his touchdown!

 Right up the middle, slipping past the defenders, and then he outruns them all!

 Way to go Lions! I don't really know if they won or lost. I know for sure they scored 3 touchdowns. And I know for sure that they had fun!

 Mattie also picked up right where last season left off - playing with her friend Bridger!

 Noah's game was right after Logan's, and it was Ravens vs. Patriots.

 Noah started the game on defense, and those flags sure seemed slippery!

In the 2nd half he ran for a touchdown. I almost missed it!

 A tough first loss for the Ravens. Final score 20-14. This looks to be the toughest game on their schedule, and they even held them scoreless in the 2nd half. They just couldn't quite pull it out.

Noah played hard and had fun! I predict lots of flag pulling in his next game!

Girlie Lunch!

My cousin Kristen (on crutches) and her daughter Katelyn (far right) flew in from Kansas City this morning. My Aunt Gwen (holding Katelyn) and cousin Amber (far left) with her daughter, Chandler, picked them up and we all met at Chuy's. My mom (in the middle) just happened to be in town, too! It was our very FIRST Mommy/Daughter/Granddaughter lunch date! The most fun!

This is a friend of mine from WAY back. We did gymnastics together in the '80s! She lives on the other side of the world and has published her first book! I'm getting the Kindle version today, and can't wait to read it!
