Tell me about it!

This was Logan (and Graeme in the background) riding the merry go round at Chuck E. Cheese during Noah's 4th birthday party. He looks so little to me in this picture. A lot has happened since that day back in March 2008.

36 Weeks

Monday morning, 5am, heading to the hospital, maybe having a baby, maybe not.

Here she is from this morning, 36 weeks, all smushed up with her chubby cheeks.

Everything checked out fine. The sonogram measured her at 6 lbs. 12 oz. Her head measured dead on at 36 weeks, her belly measured at 37 weeks and 5 days! I much prefer the smaller head, knowing that it is going to have to come out soon! And knowing that she will probably be well over 8 pounds if we make it to 39 weeks! I'm still at 2 cm. Blood pressure was great, baby's heart rate was 152. Mommy's weight gain was 4 pounds - let's call it fluid retention! :) I go back next Tuesday - 37 weeks was when Noah came (all 5 lbs. 15 oz. of him). Taking it week by week now. Thankfully, all the contractions have stopped. I might have had 1 real one this morning, but nothing else. Praying hard to make it into November. I'm not sure what is more nerve racking: the actual Tech vs. Texas game on Saturday night, or going into labor before/during the game! Hopefully, it's a good game. It might just put me into labor! Ha ha! GUNS UP! GO TECH!

Hospital Test Run, Take 1

I woke up at 3:15am to go to the bathroom, had a contraction. Not unusual since I usually have 1 a day. When I got back in to bed, they didn't stop. After about 20 minutes (and 4 contractions) I woke Matt up. We started timing them and for the next hour they were 3-5 minutes apart. I guess it was time to head to the hospital. All the paperwork said we should go in at 7-10 minutes apart for an hour since it's the third baby.

Thankfully, at the last minute, Grandma and Papa had car trouble with Grandma's car, so they came together to our house last night about 10pm in Papa's suburban. So we had someone here to stay with the boys already. We got to the hospital about 5:30am, and got all strapped in to the monitors. To make the long story short, still having contractions 5 minutes apart, but they are doing NOTHING. I went in at 1cm, and they discharged me at around 8:45am still at a 1. So I'm on hold until they get stronger, longer, and my gut tells me it's time to go again, or my water breaks.

Still have the dr. appointment tomorrow and sonogram for a new picture at 11:00am. I will be interested to hear her take on it all. She was in Napa until today so another Dr. was on call. Now I'm ready for a nap.

Nesting

So I think I have hit nesting phase. EVERYTHING is driving me crazy...clutter, dust, toys, trash, little piles, big piles, dirt, the grass that needs mowing, my to do list, and so on. Unfortunately, I'm way too exhausted most of the time to do anything about it.

The Queen of Everything is Queen For Today!

Flap your wings little angel.

Happy Birthday to my B-E-S-T, Bestest Friend, the one I share a brain with. I miss you more than you will ever know. I hope you have a day that is as WILD and CRAZY as you are. Wish I could be there too! I love you so so much T! ~B

It's Always Something.....Part 2

So the car gets fixed in about 3 hours, yippee! I got to have lunch at Chuy's with my hubby on Thursday, no kids, double yippee! We wake up this morning to Logan sleeping in his own throw up. Mmmmmm. He woke up trying to throw up again, but nothing came out. Changed him, changed the sheets, got on the phone and found a sub for Jazzercise. He seems to be ok. Keeping some crackers and juice down. When we took Noah to school, Logan ran all the way to the door and all the way back to the car. Aside from being a little whiny and a lot clingy, maybe we will make it through the day without another incident. I'm not sure who is feeling more icky now, Logan or Mommy. We are watching Thomas, and now when I want him to be clingy and snuggle on the couch with me, he doesn't want to. Go figure. Just no more throw up, I don't know if Mommy can handle it.

Gut's Right!

It was the fuel pump. Good news is that they can get it fixed today.

It's Always Something.....

After I dropped the boys off at school today, I ran by the library to pick up a book on hold, and tried to vote but the line was too long. Then I went to Target to kill some time before my Dr. Appt. (see previous post). Then I headed to Sonic for much needed refreshment (mmmmm cranberry sweet tea!) and then to the grocery store. On the way home I stopped by the mailbox and then headed to the garage. One hour later, back in my car to go pick up the boys, it wouldn't start. It kept trying to start, then it would sputter and then it would die. I had 8 minutes to get to school. I called Casey in my neighborhood (she thought I was having the baby) to see if she could take me up to the school. Then I called the school and told them I was on my way. Casey came in her minivan and we strapped in the car seats and headed off to school. Back home, take the car seats out, try to start the car again....nope. First plan of attack - put more gas in and hope the low fuel light was malfunctioning. No such luck. Still wouldn't start. So I called USAA to come and tow my car, then called Hewlitt and told them it was coming. They called to say they had the car and would call me in the morning when they knew what was wrong. My gut tells me it's the fuel pump, but boy do I hope I'm really wrong! Thankfully, Grandma was already planning to be here, so I have access to a car and help. I just hope they can get it fixed tomorrow. Ugh.

35 Weeks and Things are Happening.....

I had my 35 week appointment this morning. Everything is progressing nicely.
Weight gain: 1/2 pound in 2 weeks
Blood Pressure: 120/70
Belly Measurement: 35 weeks
Baby's Heart Rate: upper 140s/lower 150s
Effaced: 50%
Dilated: 1-2 cm
Next Appt: Next Tuesday, complete with Sonogram to see how big she is
Good News: If I make it to 39 weeks, we can pick the due date (week of Nov. 17th)
Bad News: My Dr. leaves town tomorrow for 5 days. I told her I would probably have the baby since she would be gone. She didn't think that was funny.
My Goal: Make it to 37 weeks and hope she comes anytime after that!

I'm excited to get to see her face again next week! It will be absolutely amazing.

Ginger-girl is done!

Aside from sewing the back to the front, I've done all that I can do until this baby girl has a name!

Making Progress

Needing to add one more......

She's a work in progress.
Matt took the boys to Brenham this weekend for a visit to Grammy and Grandpa's, and so he could go to the Tech/Aggie game with my brother. I had the weekend to spread the crafts out again. I took advantage of being able to leave the sewing machine out and work on baby girl's stocking. I need to make a run in the morning for small black buttons for her eyes, and some smaller wooden buttons for the jumper. Once I get those, I can get her face stitched on, and sew the front and back pieces together. Then I will have to wait to complete the stocking until after she is born. I can't sew the cuff on until it's monogrammed with her name. At the rate we are going, that won't be until after she is born. Thankfully, it will be before Christmas! And thankfully, we are done with kids, because I don't want to make another one!

I was also able to get some scrapbooking done during the football game. I was too nervous to sit still. I'll have a little more time to get some more done after church tomorrow. The boys should be back around 3pm. Sorry, Matt, housecleaning just didn't make the list.

A Few Quick Ones For The Blog.....

Tonight the boys were cooking in their kitchen. Noah told Logan, "Cooking is a big sponserbility."

Last week, Logan took William (the cabbage patch kid) and crawled up into the rocking chair. He started rocking. I nudged Grandma to get her to look. Unfortunately, Logan saw that it was his turn to Wii bowl, William was dumped very quickly to the floor!

Then, two nights ago, we were Wii bowling again. Logan picked up William and was hugging and patting him on the back. I started to nudge Matt to check it out. At that moment, Logan took a running start and body slammed William into the love seat.

Boys will be boys. I'll have to keep an eye on this one with the real baby sister.

side note: Wii bowling two nights ago, Logan beat all of us - Noah, Daddy, and Mommy. He's 2!

It's Official.....

Last night at the dinner table, Logan announced that he has a baby sister in his tummy.

33 Weeks and Counting....

Had a quick Dr. visit this morning. Everything is right on track. Only gained 1 pound in the last 2 weeks, 24 overall so far. (32 with Noah, 34 with Logan) Baby Girl's heart rate was 151. My BP was 117/78. I go back in 2 weeks for my first "check." All I know is that I'm ready when she is.

A Scrappy Weekend!

This past weekend, my friend Crystal sent her kids off to Grandma's and had a girls craft weekend. Friday night I hauled all of my scrapbook stuff to her house and spread out on her kitchen table. She had moved it and her dining table into the living room. We scrapped like mad! Shannon spread out on the floor with her scrapbook, Amy and Jen broke out the knitting! We ate, drank, laughed, crafted and stayed up until 2! Several of us spent the night and got back to work the next morning. Amy had a morning meeting, but came back just in time to bring us lunch. I had a Jazzercise meeting in the afternoon, so I picked up dinner. I stayed and worked until about 11:30 that night. Matt had worship team at church on Sunday, so I had to be there for the boys. But as soon as we were all back from church, I headed back to Crystal's. I worked until about 4pm. I meant to take my camera to be able to show all the craft stuff and progress, but I forgot it. I managed to get about 16 scrapbook pages done. And I have ideas rolling in my brain for more and some motiviation. Crystal got a ton of pages finished in Luke's baby book, Amy knitted a baby blanket, and worked on two other projects until she ran out of yarn, and Jen completed an entire baby sweater (which is absolutely adorable!) and started on the next one.

The only drawback to the weekend, is that I need a weekend to recover.

Matt is hoping to go to the Tech/TAMU game in two weeks. If he does, he will take the boys to Brenham to hang with Grammy and Grandpa for the weekend. That means I can have the kitchen table to myself and another weekend to spread all the scrappy stuff out again! Here's hoping!
