Christmas Spirit

Is in full swing around here.
It's exciting (and a little overwhelming) trying to figure out how to decorate the new house! I started with the comfortable and familiar on Friday after Thanksgiving.

Today, we added something new into the mix, putting lights like a rainbow (per Mattie) on the house.
 I got on the roof!
Yay!
Happy Lights!
They all work!

New garland for the fireplace. I'm still searching for stocking hangers. I can't wait to see the stockings hanging from the fireplace. We are also looking forward to cutting down our tree next weekend!

Football Road Trip

A beautiful day for football at Cowboy Stadium! The roof is open and we've got our GUNS UP!
 Wreck 'Em Tech!
 Here come the Red Raiders!

Unfortunately the game didn't end the way we would have liked, but we still had a good time. Daddy was excited to see the home of his Dallas Cowboys. We love our Red Raiders, and we are glad we got to see them play one more time this season!

Our First Thanksgiving

Hosting Thanksgiving for the first time, and in our NEW house!
And I finally got to use my china and crystal!

Ready for a wonderful dinner together with family.

Annual handprints on Grammy's Thanksgiving tablecloth.
2012 in Red - Noah, Logan, Matilyn

Claire and Lauren (and a rogue Claire-print!)
We had a wonderful time with Matt's family at our house. Many new memories made and plenty of fun had by all. A great beginning to the Holiday Season.

Family Fun With The Texas Stars

Almost lost another one!
Too much fun during the day equals five tired kiddos.

All He Wants For Christmas Is His Two Front Teeth!

Wednesday, November 21st
Logan and Noah were playing a football game upstairs. Noah went to tackle Logan for the ball, kneed him in the mouth, and knocked out his jack-o-lantern front tooth! Crazy enough, the new tooth is already coming in.

Happy Birthday Kate!

Noah's very first friend, Katelyn, celebrated her 8th birthday last weekend. We all headed to Sea World to help her celebrate.

These kids are growing up way too fast!

So much so, that all but Audrey and Mattie went for a spin on the Steel Eel.
YES, EVEN LOGAN!
Look closely, you can see him next to Matt in the 3rd row.
Noah and Mr. Paul were in the 2nd row.
Luke and Mr Ryan in the front row of the next car.
Katelyn and Lauren were behind them.
Churros (aka light sabers, swords, and a princess wand) after the ride!
This was the BEST Shamu show we have seen in all the trips to Sea World!

 Feeding the dolphins after dark.

Perfect weather, perfect friends, and a perfect day!

Double Date Night

Matt's side of the family has come to our new house for Thanksgiving! Grammy and Grandpa had a pizza party with all of the kids while we got to go on a date with Rob and Julie. We went to a yummy dinner at North, and then had dessert on the patio at Jasper's.

More fun to come tomorrow!

Happy Veterans Day!

We love our Vets!
Special Assembly at Cactus Ranch Elementary this morning.
There was a slideshow honoring all of the family members of students and staff.
Underneath their names it says, "Grandfather of Noah and Logan Cothern."

Singing the anthems of each branch.

The ceremony concluded with God Bless the USA.
It was very moving and I'm so glad we went this morning.
Thank you Papa and Grandpa for your service and sacrifice.
Also remembering Great Grandpa Roy, Sr, Great Grandpa JF Hocott, Great Grandpa Ivan, and Great Grandpa Harold today.
